14.10.2022Started a new play through just recently and so far I've had a T-posing, headless V in that "new life" cutscene with Jackie, and Evelyn scooting around Judy's basement as if in a wheelchair… Otherwise it's been pretty good so far, even on my mid-tier rig. We shall see…

11.10.2022It’s $25 on ps5. I think I’m going to try it.

11.10.2022It’s worth playing, yes. But with there being another major patch coming out, along with a major expansion pack, why not wait a little while longer? Those will only improve what’s already good.

11.10.2022Worth playing? ALWAYS have been.
Completely fixed? No.
Although serious bugs are basically gone completely. Most things you will see is one or two graphical glitches.

11.10.2022I returned. I recommend staying away – at least until the police overhaul comes in. At the moment, similar to Bluntly I even have a mod to disable the police system entirely, its too annoying to bother with. At this time the police or any really interesting interactions with the sandbox NPCs doesn't exist. Game looks great, plays fine? The combat is still very bland due to the Ai being just as dumb if not dumber then your classic Skyrim Ai's – the old "must have been the wind" with an arrow to the face comes to mind, just replace it with a bullet… The world still feels extremely empty. It feels like a very pretty but very empty box that lacks substance, Its still a boring experience imo. But at least you can play it. To get the most out of it you need to pump it full of mods, CDPR know this which is why they released REDMOD. If bothering with that hassle isn't your cup of tea you should stay away.
At the same time I wouldn't hold your breathe or raise your expectations either. It took them 2 years to add a transmog system after all. Set the bar very, very low.

11.10.2022I really loved it when it first came out. Didn’t have any problems with bugs on Series x and loved the characters and world. Did a couple playthroughs in those months. I started another playthrough when 1.5 came out but after a few hours decided I’m waiting for the DLC, let all the new content marinade and get as new an experience as possible.

29.09.2022I started again playing after the 1.6 patch, I'm 40 hours in and only experienced minor glitches and no crashes yet kudos to cd project red for continuing to support the game.

29.09.2022Yes, 100% yes. Cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite single player open world game now.

29.09.2022I got Cyberpunk when 1.6 came out so I don't really have a frame of reference, but holy shit this game is still broken… Don't get me wrong, I'm still enjoying it, but I have never played a game with as many problems as this. Saves and loads taking forever (sometimes not showing up) Crashes during loading, game slowing down to a crawl for no apparent reason, random crashes to desktop. And again, never played pre 1.6 so I have no idea how bad it was, just that it's still pretty bad.

29.09.2022I stopped playing on January 31, 2021 when the Second Conflict mission with Dum Dum was bugged. After watching the anime, I will give the game a chance.

29.09.2022I'm somewhat relieved. I thought CDPR was going to cut their losses and abandon the game. It's still not even close to what was promised, and I'll never forgive them for that, but I could definitely do a new character playthrough
Bucephalus Tyndareus
29.09.2022Definitely worth playing. I never gave up on it in the first place, since I expected something close to a No Man's Sky level comeback. I just didn't think it would happen because of the anime. Lol. I expected that to suck, and I was happy to be absurdly wrong.

28.09.2022If these types of issues are still present this long after launch, I fear I'll never be jumping back into the game.

28.09.2022I actually had a blast playing, waiting for the update, there's nothing else to do on the map.

28.09.2022For me i only have one studio not on the s**t list "show don't tell" list. Larian. So far they have kept my faith and their promises, and near single handedly revitalized the renaissance of CRPGs of yore.

28.09.2022I played the game on my base Xbox one on Christmas around when it came out and damn what a let down it was. I got to the part where I met Keanu reeves and put the game down until the anime came out. Though since I just recently got a ps5 I thought why not check to see if it’s finally been worked on yet.

28.09.2022I tried it at launch and it was a complete shit show, crash, bugs, unplayble, dropped it at the 1 hour mark…
I launched it a few days ago on 1.6 following the edgerunners hype (great anime btw).
I'm now 15 hours in and i find it quite fine, no crashes and overall pretty good performance, a few glitches and artifacts here and there, cops that just shoots me on site without apparent reason and the usual abysmal driving experience. But i'm liking it. Playing on a mac (booted windows) with 8GB VRAM, 1920×1080 on ultra settings.

28.09.2022I played on ps5 when cyberpunk released so was kinda better than playing on PS4 but still had MANY crashes, now Im playing it through again and can actually fully immerse myself as most of its bugs fixed. Incredible game, so much lore, closer to Fallout than what I thought!

27.09.2022I might try it this week

27.09.2022The problem is that it's not 2077 yet.
We're getting there though.

27.09.2022asmr santa clause, you have made my decision of getting the game. thank you

27.09.2022Played at launch, grew frustrated with the issues and abandoned after 15 or 20 hours. Just got the Alienware oled monitor and something told me giving cyberpunk another shot may be a great way to test the monitor out. unlike launch I'm approaching with lower (aka realistic) expectations, excited to see how it goes.

27.09.2022I guess I've been pretty lucky, having zero crashes of note in my first playthrough and only a few bugs, which for me weren't really immersion breaking. ei 5 or 6 times seeing vehicles/groups of that had their tires half into the ground, vehicles spawning on top of one another and exploding when I'd jump and summon one of them (you know the jump trick so the vehicle appears right where you are as opposed to 100km away bc it is stuck in traffic?) and a few other really minor things. Same with this playthrough, though the only one I can recall off the top of my head was an NPC sitting on an invisible chair.
That said, the Police system seems just as bad as ever to me, and I haven't played since patch 1.3. No, they haven't spawned behind me in a room with the doors closed like before, but I've also only picked up 1 star a couple of times and nothing over that because the driving is so much better than it was 21 months or so ago. It's still trash though, and there is zero excuse for it. When modders can make NPC's call the Police, then have them arrive in/on vehicles (depending on the area you may get Militech or Private Security on Bikes, Police on foot or in Cars, and subject to traffic/crowds to boot) who will not be notified at all if the NPC's are killed/knocked out before they can get the call off and are also subject to traffic, don't magically have 10 drones in the middle of the Badlands etc etc, well how a team of developers can't do the same is beyond me. According to the modder it took them about 10 hours of real life time to create the mod itself. 1 modder, 10 hours, Police system almost perfect and WAY more than serviceable. If it would have shipped this way I doubt people would have complained at all. Maxtech are also much tougher as well, which makes sense, a they are only called if you start going silly on crowds and regular police have already been disposed of a few times (I assume there is a certain number of Police/Civilians which must be killed/injured first).
Driving is still subpar, but I'd rather they actually fixed something they said would be done, literally in their 2nd real patch almost 2 years ago. Like driving, it does not have to be perfect, it just needs to be better. Heck, just using the mod in the base game itself would be absolutely fine. Of course they haven't even bothered with stopping hats from changing your hairstyle which was also supposed to be fixed 20+ months ago so I'm probably hoping for way to much here.
That said, I had a blast in my first playthrough and am having a decent time on my second (I also put in about 300 hours in a couple of half game playthroughs to see the different endings), though the only thing that is noticeably better, to me, is the driving, contagion being way less powerful, Cyberpsychos being far less powerful, though everything is non-lethal now unless you hit them numerous times when they are down. For instance when I received the achievement for taking all 17 alive only .06% of players had done the same. Now it's about 15%, or 10% less than the amount who have finished the game. I suppose that could be why they seem so much easier now, as I'm not using EMP's and baseball bats against them. Instead, I'm using short circuit and shot guns.
I'm not sure how I feel about the clothing/weapon mod/slot changes. It's a bit annoying at times, and enemies seem to drop trash, though I'm still only level 22 so I guess it's understandable to not want low/mid-level characters to be equipping then stacking Legendary Armadillos and Penetrator mods. Of course it also kinda blows that the few Legendary items I do have all have lower stats than the majority of the common variants I pick up, and even with the 12 upgrades still aren't even close to their Common counterpart drops making them essentially unusable.
Heh, odd how negative this sounds for a game I really, really like. Heck, it was my GotY in 2020, and may be the best I've played this year (Though Spider-Man was pretty darn good as well; sorry, not a big fan of Souls-like games so Elden Ring gets a pass from me), so it's not like I don't think the game is exceptional. I just KNOW it could have be, and still could be, far better. If CDPR didn't waste hundreds of thousands, if not millions of total work hours trying to get the game to run correctly, which included a boatload of new assets for consoles, they could have spent that time actually making the game better for the majority of people that purchased it which was overwhelmingly on PC and next-gen systems. I'm glad people on older consoles get to play it now, but I'm not sure that was the lesser of two evils, and the fact that they aren't bothering to make the expansion for last gen consoles tells me that CDPR definitely knows that they f'd up, with last gen consoles making up a very small minority of the install base after a slew of returns cut the sales from 11m PC/3m console to 10m PC/800k console after week 2. So out of the 13m+ total day 1 sales they ended up under that amount, by over 2m, at the end of 14 days, almost exclusively do to last gen console returns. I'm not sure what the total number of console sales is now, but with an estimated 15m+ of their sales being on PC, and an estimated 20m total units shipped/not returned (I believe they hit 18m in April) that would still be a paltry 5m sales on console. I say paltry as when an AAA game sells 20m+ copies it's typically ends up around 50/50 unless their are a boatload of paid remasters involved. I also assume the vast majority of console players are using next gen consoles as the experience on the base systems, well the older systems in general besides the Xbox One X, are just really bad. Not eh, they are still bad.
That's the real problem with the Red Engine imo. Well besides not having as large a selection of experienced devs who don't require months of training to get used to it, it is just to taxing on hardware to be viable long term, and CDPR doesn't have the man power to optimize and update new versions of it year on year with massive overhauls gen on gen. Not that Unreal 5 would run well on last gen systems, but Unreal 4 sure did, and the Red Engine isn't all that much more powerful as a tool the UE 4 is, with some games still coming out having used it and not just looking phenomenal, but running great on consoles and PC. CDPR should have realized that if the old consoles have a hard time with TW3, running CP 2077 just would not be an option.
They saw that install base though, had already hyped the game up for too long to tell their shareholders that they were going to pass on said giant possible install base, and they ended up spending another 50-100m optimizing the game for, I'm guessing, about 1m total players, leaving the other 19m twiddling their thumbs, waiting on features, fixes and expansions. This idiotic choice not only cost them tens of millions in initial sales, it probably cost them hundreds of millions in total sales, and will cost them another 100m or so in expansion sales unless the game somehow sells at least 10m more before the expansion is released. Actually, even that probably wouldn't make up for it since so many copies have been sold at a discount far earlier than they normally would have and they're also losing sales on at least 1, and possibly 2 expansions that they say they aren't making now. If each of those would have sold, say 7m copies avg. at $40 USD, that's $560 in lost income right there. I'm literally shaking my head while writing this.
This was literally a $1 BILLION + mistake by CDPR. No wonder they don't want to spend time fixing things that will take more than an hour for 1 person. They've already invested so much into this darn game I can certainly understand why they just want to put everything that isn't going to make them money in the future behind them, and right now, unless the anime gives them an even bigger sales boost than it already has, I'm guessing they just want to move the heck on from this game and focus on the next Witcher Universe games. Kinda sucks as we just don't get games like this in this type of setting anymore, and there is nothing coming that I am aware of, at least not in the next couple of years. Man I miss Deus Ex…

26.09.2022I’m gonna give it a go, didn’t buy it before cause I fell for the mass effect andromeda deluxe edition preorder, and didn’t wanna get burned by another game I was hyped about.

26.09.2022I was reluctant to get interested in this game even before release because it seemed like it was promising to much and I honestly thought the surprise announcement of keanu playing a major role so late seemed like a bad sign to me.
I watched edgerunners on a whim and absolutely loved it. I love open world games and on a surface level 2077 is the game I always wanted open worl “rpg” with some gta style mechanics and a custom character.

26.09.2022I got the game around patch 1.2, having never been really THAT hyped for it, but enjoyed it thoroughly – patch 1.3 came shortly after I started playing and after that I had almost no issues, it also ran surprisingly well on my older midrange PC. I'm currently on my 3rd playthrough and Edgerunners dropped in the middle of it – I'm no anime fan but wanted to check what all the fuss is about so I gave it a shot yesterday and immediately binged it completely, it was incredibly well done and I can see why people now get the urge to play again. And the game is worth it, always was under the initial bugs – I hope the late success gives CDPR a reason to maybe reconsider their roadmap for the game and don't give up on it, I really want more and I'm kinda done with the Witcher too.

26.09.2022Am I the only one who played it at launchhaving followed the hype ttrain and all but still had a good time?
Not saying that the game was perfect but like… it's a fun game. Always been.
The story was always good, the characters always intriguing and the world as gorgeous as ever.
Yes it was a flawed game but (and this may just be my personal view) a game is just a medium to convey an experience.
It's like watching a beautiful movie on a shitty screen, not as good as a cinema sure but the movie is still good

26.09.2022I guess i'll wait a bit more before my 1st run.
