Just found out, is a cloudy night, the moon is covered, during the whole scene the moon still covered until they kiss, now the moon is uncovered and shiny, the night couldn't just stop being cloudy in one second, everybody knows this, but again, it's a confirmation that David is Lucy's moon, watching this again broke my heart

11.07.2023I love this scene so much man. Theres so much passion oozing from the creators. The lighting and colors. The constant back and forth cuts. The music blowing up, then we get a masterclass in storyboarding with the juxtaposition of the rocket takeoff to cutting to the moon, all with such good framing that you can press print screen at anytime and get a good wallpaper out of it. Ive rewatched this show countless times and this scene has just stuck with me. Cdpr told trigger that they wanted a "noir feel" to the anime and trigger didnt know how the fuck theyre gonna do that because 1. its anime and 2. theres so much neon, but by god they absolutely nailed it on this scene without betraying those 2 aspects.
